BUSINESS & LEGAL REVIEW DRAFT
Privacy Policy
How information is used across the current Cliqplay platform.
About this draft
Cliqplay is a sports community platform. This draft describes the current implementation and is not a final published policy. The operator name displayed by the application is Arctic Raven Technologies Inc.; its legal identity, address, privacy contact and jurisdiction must be confirmed before launch.
Accounts and authentication
Clerk handles account registration, sign-in, verification and sessions. Cliqplay stores an application account linked to the Clerk identity and the Player or Facility Owner profile needed for the selected account type. Existing account roles determine access; public signup does not grant Admin access. Authentication credentials and verification codes must not be included in support messages.
Profiles, business information and preferences
Player profile information, sports preferences and availability support community features. Owner business information, facility details, uploaded photos and verification documents support facility management and Admin review. Location fields are used for discovery. A submitted public homepage city prompts authentication rather than exposing private search results; precise device location is not automatically requested by that form.
Games, leagues, connections and messages
The platform stores games, memberships, invitations, leagues, player connections, conversations and messages to provide these features. Access controls limit private information to authorized participants and Admin tools where applicable. Blocking and safety reporting are available. Blocking does not erase the existing message history. Approved public facility images and limited public showcase metadata may be visible without an account; player identities are not part of the public landing-page community illustration.
Bookings and payments
Court booking records and payment references support availability, checkout, cancellation and reconciliation. Stripe processes online payments; Cliqplay retains payment-related identifiers and transaction statuses used by the application. Do not send payment-card details through chat or support. Facility approval and other existing booking requirements are enforced separately from historical transaction records.
Contact requests and notifications
The Contact form stores your name, email, category, subject and message, including when you submit without an account. If an application account is available, the ticket can be associated with it. Authorized Admins can view requests, record internal notes and manage statuses. Resend receives the contact message to notify the configured support mailbox when email is configured. Email failures are recorded without losing the ticket. In-app and device notifications use the existing notification and push services; device/browser permission and settings affect delivery.
Cookies, infrastructure and analytics
Clerk uses authentication/session technology needed to operate account access. Browser storage and push subscriptions support application features. We did not identify a dedicated analytics integration in the reviewed application source; any production analytics, hosting logs, CDN services and nonessential cookies must be inventoried before this policy is finalized. Service-provider locations and any cross-border processing must also be confirmed.
Retention, security and deletion requests
The current implementation retains application records needed for operation and historical bookings/payments. No general fixed retention period or complete self-service account-data deletion process is established by this draft. Contact support to request access, correction or deletion; the applicable identity checks, retention requirements, backup handling and response process must be confirmed. We use server-side access controls, input validation and request limits, but this draft makes no guarantee of absolute security.
Canadian privacy review
The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada describes PIPEDA principles including accountability, identifying purposes, consent, limiting collection/use/retention, safeguards, access and challenging compliance. Counsel must confirm which Canadian federal and provincial laws apply to Cliqplay and how the platform will implement applicable requests. Do not interpret this draft as a claim that every legal obligation has already been satisfied.
